The Happy Hooker

This weekend I taught myself how to crochet using Debbie Stoller's The Happy Hooker. You can see the book over on the side bar. The instructions in the book are really good and easy to follow. I am crocheting a baby blanket for a friend who is coming into town over Thanksgiving.

Spinning Socks that Rock

Tonight I started spinning the Socks that Rock Roving I bought at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. It is really spinning up nicely. I love the colors and hope to knit some socks when it is spun up. We'll have to see how I do at plying as I have never done it before.

Learning to Spin

I learned an important lesson regarding spinning - taking lessons is a good thing!

Here is my spinning before taking a lesson. Pretty sad looking wouldn't you say?

And here it is after taking a lesson! I'm very happy with my improvement.

I have been doing a little spinning every day as I find it very relaxing. I think this is going to cut into my knitting time. Posted by Picasa
