Swallowtail Shawl
August must be my month of lace projects as all of the projects I am working on are lace - the Hippy Crunchy socks, Lucy's Scarf, and now the Swallotail Shawl. Evelyn Clark is one of my favorite designers and I just love her shawls. The pattern is in the new issue of Interweave Knits. I am knitting the shawl out of Knit Picks Shadow in the Vineyard colorway.
Swallowtail Shawl
Lace can be frustrating for me, but so far this project has been pretty easy. Or maybe I am just getting better at knitting lace, either way it is an enjoyable knit.

Hi Wendy,
I actually live in Kirkland & went to the Eastside Knitter's Guild meeting tonight. I was asking for help on this shawl (my very first lace project). I only did the first 7 rows without help..........a woman showed me how to read the charts, another gal told me to look up the shawl on google & told me that many people were knitting this shawl "online". What caught my eye about your blog is that I started making it out of the exact same yarn as you!!!
We'll see how this "newbie" does!!!
Take care!
Diana
