Vintage Slipper
Ok I am going to date myself with this post. Last night at Seattle S N'B we were talking about how old some of the yarn is in our stash. I thought about the yarn I had and remembered I found my first knitting project from 1969 when I was 8 years old. It is the start of a slipper knit from horrible bright pink acrylic yarn. The tension of the stitches are uneven, but for an 8 year old it is not bad. I never finished the project because I always made mistakes and needed help and would have to wait for the next class to get help. My lessons must have ended before I finished it. I remember the instructor had hand written out the pattern for my 2 childhood friends and I. They didn't have Word or copy machines back then. Too bad I didn't continue with knitting, I didn't pick it up again until I was 29, and didn't get to my stage of addiction until 1997.

That's hilarious. I can't believe you still have it. On the needles, no less!
